Riot Platforms disclosed a 15-year powered-land lease covering 910 MW of critical IT capacity at Corsicana in its November 4 presentation. The customer is described as a leading frontier AI lab and is not named in the filing.
The contract divides delivery responsibilities
Riot is responsible for land, powered pads and power-delivery infrastructure. The tenant procures, installs and operates modular compute deployments. This division makes the physical interfaces and acceptance milestones central to the project.
The first phase has a future date
The company projects full delivery of a 400 MW first phase by September 2027. That is a target for future capacity. The signed lease establishes a commercial commitment, while usable computing also requires completed power systems and tenant equipment.
Capacity becomes useful through acceptance
Design coordination, energisation and accepted modules will determine the delivery result. The structure could concentrate Riot’s work on site infrastructure, provided the two parties maintain compatible schedules and operating requirements.
